Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra Prices Leaked

Anticipation for Samsung’s upcoming flagship tablet lineup is building as new pricing details emerge. According to a leak shared on Bluesky by Roland Quandt of WinFuture, buyers face potential sticker shock due to the absence of a base model and the elimination of a 128GB version in the upcoming series, as reported by Android Police.

Expected Pricing Details Leak for Upcoming Samsung Tablets

The leak outlines specific figures for the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. For the Wi-Fi edition of the Galaxy Tab S12+ equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, pricing is slated at $1,199.99, while another report notes a starting price of $1,119.99 for the same base configuration according to GSMArena. Upgrading the storage to 512GB will cost $1,399.99, and the 5G-capable model featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will be priced at $1,349.99.

For the larger Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, pricing for the 12GB RAM model with 256GB of storage starts at $1,399.99. Moving up to 512GB of storage costs $1,599.99, while the top-tier version featuring 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage carries a price tag of $1,999. The Tab S12+ comes exclusively with 12GB of RAM, whereas the Ultra variant features 12GB of RAM for all variants except the 1TB model, which steps up to 16GB of RAM.

Design Renders and Hardware Specifications Surface

Ahead of any official announcement from the manufacturer, design details and specifications for the hardware have also come to light. Official renders shared by Android Headlines show the front and back of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra alongside the S Pen stylus, matching earlier CAD-based renders that surfaced in July.

The images indicate that the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will feature very thin, uniform bezels around the display, complete with a small centered notch positioned at the top when the device is held in a horizontal orientation. The back of the tablet houses two protruding cameras and an LED flash, with the overall design elements—including the rear logo—catering to horizontal use. Additionally, the included S Pen stylus features a physical button.

A recent listing on the Google Play Console confirmed that both Wi-Fi and cellular models will be offered, though market availability will vary. The memory chip crisis has been cited as a primary factor contributing to overall price increases across the industry.

Release Timelines and Market Competition

Timing for the rollout remains a point of discussion among industry watchers. The devices are expected to arrive during IFA in Berlin, pointing to an early September timeframe, which mirrors the launch window of the previous generation Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. However, some launch-date rumors suggest a possible October release window, which could place Samsung behind competitors.

With Apple implementing shortage-related price hikes on hardware such as the iPad Air and iPad Pro, the competitive landscape between Android tablets and Apple’s ecosystem continues to shift. Historically, Samsung tablets maintained an advantage by being slightly more affordable, but rising costs and the omission of lower-priced base configurations may alter market dynamics during the crucial late-year shopping season.
