Samsung has refreshed the W series, its luxury alternative to the Galaxy Z series that it sells around the world. As always, Samsung has started selling its latest W series models in China. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether the company will offer the W24 or W24 Flip globally.
According to Samsung’s product page ( )The W24 and W24 Flip still rely on aluminum frames, but with a shiny gold finish. That said, both models feature ceramic back panels, which should prove more scratch-resistant than the matte glass Samsung uses in the Galaxy Z Fold5 and the Galaxy Z Flip5. For reference, Samsung has also put a small logo on each model of the W24 series which translates to “Heart of the World”. The W24 and W24 Flip are technically the same as their Galaxy Z counterparts, without any hardware changes to fit their more premium styling.
On the other hand, Samsung has removed all the included accessories, such as the S Pen stylus from the W24. Likewise, the W24 and W24 Flip come with exclusive animations and wallpapers, as well as boxes tailored to feel more premium than theGalaxy Z Fold5where theGalaxy Z Flip5. For reference, Samsung prices the W24 Flip at CNY 9,999 (~$1,375), equipped with 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage space. On the other hand, the W24 is priced at 16,999 CNY (~2,337 USD) with 16 GB of RAM but also 1 TB of integrated storage.
