Democratic Party General Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono said that his father Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono could not attend the proclamation ceremony on August 17, 2024 in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan, because he would return to his hometown.
“He already has what is called an activity that was planned long ago. The ceremony will be in Pacitan, in his hometown,” said AHY, who is also the Minister of ATR/BPN, briefly, after attending the Plenary Cabinet Session at the Garuda Palace, IKN, East Kalimantan, today.
The ceremony to commemorate the proclamation will be held on August 17, 2024 at the Garuda Palace in the capital city of Jakarta.
Technically, the military ceremony will be held at the IKN, led directly by President Joko Widodo.
Meanwhile, at the Merdeka Palace, the Vice President and invited guests will follow the ceremony at the IKN online.
The Ministry of State Secretariat invited the previous President to attend the ceremony at the IKN, while the previous Vice President was invited to attend the ceremony from the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. (Ant/P-2)
