FC Ingolstadt is separating from loan player Nassim Boujellab (22) with immediate effect. The midfielder “repeatedly violated internal club and team rules and regulations”. The Schanzer announced this on Sunday evening.
Schalke originally loaned the German-Moroccan to Ingolstadt in July 2021 until the end of the season.
Is the problem kicker coming back now?
▶ His contract with Royal Blue (until 2023) will not run again until July 1st. So Boujellab will not return to the Schalke squad prematurely. More is still being checked.
The club said on Twitter: “The #Schanzer are separating from #Boujellab: We are terminating the employment relationship with Nassim Boujellab with immediate effect. The player repeatedly violated club and team internal rules and regulations.”
At Ingolstadt, the professional was supposed to gain important match practice – but that backfired. The three-time Moroccan international has not been in the Schanzer squad since November 2021. He also failed to impress in the league and only made eight appearances.
