Schönefeld: “Altai” group supports orphanage in Mongolia
Waßmannsdorf. Collecting a donation is one thing, it is not that easy, especially in Corona times, to get it to the intended place. So the members of the “Altei Group” were happy that the Naadamfest last Saturday in Waßmannsdorf offered the opportunity to put their donation, vitamin D tablets for an orphanage in Mongolia, in good hands.

Dulguun, a Mongolian guest, will ensure that the donation arrives safely at its destination. “Since our first trip in 2016, we have felt the need to support the facility, which is not state-funded,” says Margret Fuchs from the association.
Schönefeld: Altai Group supports a private orphanage in Mongolia
The visit of the private orphanage “Habor-Manna-Childrens-Center” in 2016 was impressive for the Schönefeld delegation. It looks after 33 children aged up to four years. Toys and baby clothes were handed over to support the work. It was quickly agreed that this should not be a one-time assistance.

Among other things, there was help with the design of the outdoor facilities or with the procurement of a tumble dryer. At the request of the home, the “Altai Group” is now supporting – ten Schoenefelder, who accompanied the official delegation more than once, with vitamin D tablets. They are many times more expensive in Mongolia than in Germany, but they are important for girls and boys.
Schönefeld: Close partnership with Bajangol in Mongolia
In 1998, the municipality of Schönefeld signed the partnership agreement with Bajangol, one of nine districts in the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar. Since then there have been regular exchanges of delegations. Not only members of the municipal council and municipal workers who are delegated by decision of the municipal council participate. She will also be accompanied by private fellow travelers at her own expense.
