Schulle to bid farewell to Bayern Munich at the end of the season

A media report stated that defender Niklas Schulle will not renew his contract with the German football team, Bayern Munich, and that he will leave the team at the end of the season.

And the German newspaper, Bild, reported that Schulle, 26, informed Bayern Munich several weeks ago of his decision.

Schulle joined Bayern Munich in 2017 from Hoffenheim, and the player was away from participating with the team for several months due to a serious knee injury he suffered in October 2019.

Schulle’s contract with Bayern expires at the end of the season, and it seems that Schulle will follow in the same footsteps as David Alaba, Jerome Boateng and Javi Martinez, by leaving Bayern Munich for free.

And coach Julian Nagelsmann recently said that Schulle had not accepted the renewal offer made by Bayern, the German champions in the last nine seasons.

Reports said Barcelona, Newcastle and Chelsea were interested in the player.

The list of potential replacements for Shule includes Borussia Monchengladbach’s Denis Zakaria and Chelsea duo Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, and the contracts of the three players expire at the end of the season.

In recent months, Bayern Munich renewed the contracts of Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka and Kingsley Coman.

The club also aims to keep Serge Nabry beyond 2023, while Corentin Tolisso’s contract expires in the summer, and his future remains unclear.
