Putin’s ‘terrible mistake’
Previously, the American star said that Putin made a big mistake by choosing to declare war on Ukraine. “If he doesn’t give in, I think Mr. Putin will have made the most terrible mistake of all mankind,” he told USA Today on Saturday. Also adding that “Ukraine is fighting for democracy and if we leave them to fight alone, the soul of America will be lost.”
Just before the intensification of Russian strikes on several cities in Ukraine, Sean Penn therefore left the country on Monday, on foot, via the Polish border.
