Hikers discovered bones
Second skeleton found on Valais glacier
The skeleton find on Stockji Glacier is not the only one. A skeleton has also been discovered on the Chessjen Glacier.
Valais has been a mystery for the past week. On Wednesday, the Valais canton police announced that a skeleton had been found on the Stockji glacier near Zermatt VS. The glacier released the human remains.
It is not yet known who it is. Rumor has it it might even be about the missing billionaire Karl-Erivan-Haub act.
Only bones discovered
Now it is known: The Stockji skeleton is not the only skeleton that has been released from the ice masses in the past few days. On August 3, another skeleton was found on Chessjen Glacier. This was confirmed by the public prosecutor’s office in Oberwallis when Blick asked.
Only bones were discovered, says the responsible public prosecutor. Hikers discovered the skeleton, and then the skeleton was recovered by helicopter. The identification of the dead person is still ongoing, the exact background is still unclear. The public prosecutor’s office has not yet released any further details.
At the Britannia hut, which is close to the Chessjen glacier, nothing was known about the skeleton find. That’s what the hut warden says to Blick. (dus/zis)
