Securitize Adds Stellar Blockchain to Real-World Asset Tokenization Platform

Securitize has added the Stellar blockchain to its real-world asset tokenization infrastructure, expanding beyond Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche. Announced at Meridian 2025, the Stellar Development Foundation’s annual conference in Lisbon, Portugal, on October 28, the integration brings institutional-grade asset issuance to a network known for built-in compliance features like regulatory clawbacks and integrated know-your-customer controls.

Expanding Multi-Chain Infrastructure for Institutional Assets

The addition of Stellar marks a calculated push by Securitize to diversify its underlying blockchain architecture for tokenized equities, debt, and commodities. The platform already issues and manages BlackRock’s BUIDL tokenized money-market fund. By plugging into Stellar, Securitize brings its real-world asset engine to a network that already hosts Franklin Templeton’s tokenized money market fund and handles daily cross-border remittances for MoneyGram.

Tokenization is moving past experimental testnets into high-throughput production environments. Issuers require infrastructure that operates around the clock without geographic choke points. Ethereum offers deep liquidity, while Solana and Avalanche bring high transaction throughput. Stellar introduces native issuance controls at the protocol level, allowing asset creators to program compliance directly into the token.

Asset-Level Compliance and Scalability on Stellar

Stellar stands apart in enterprise deployments due to its native handling of compliance logic. Issuers operating on the network can configure decentralized assets for strict customer identification checks, sanctions compliance, and token clawbacks. This architecture reduces the attack surface for vulnerabilities and simplifies regulatory audits.

“The Stellar network has built the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets, which speaks to the strength of its network and the growing institutional demand for tokenization,” said Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo in a statement.

Transaction speed and network scalability heavily influence enterprise adoption. Traditional financial institutions cannot tolerate high gas fee volatility or finality delays when settling debt instruments or shares. Stellar’s consensus mechanism provides rapid settlement times, making it an operational fit for tokenized funds that demand high-frequency liquidity.
