Seminar within the framework of the Erasmus+ programs and in particular implementing the European program “Mobility for Adult Learners” from Spain, takes place from Monday 14 April to Friday 19 April from 9.00 to 13.00 in room K7 (Karagiozi) of the Old Slaughterhouses the Achaic Institute of Adult Education, which operates in the region of Western Greece.
At the meeting in Patras, 18 students and 4 teachers participate and the objective of the seminar is to improve the basic skills of the new participants, to acquire knowledge and skills as well as to acquire the status of European citizen.
The participants of the Erasmus+ program were guided on Monday, April 14, to the premises of the Old Slaughterhouses and visited the exhibitions of the K6-Carnival hall (exhibition with constructions of the Hidden Treasure and exhibition of sketches by Andreas Angelopoulos, wax egg machine and carnival molds with plaster and ceramic replicas them) and the exhibition of the K4-exhibition hall, “Art, Education, Inclusion” of the Unified Special Vocational High School and Lyceum of Patras, in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Promotion Structure of the Municipality of Patras.
European Erasmus+ programs are an important area of focus for the Achaean Institute of Adult Education. The young volunteers of the Institute participate in Youth Exchanges and Training Courses held in other European countries. The benefits for young people from these programs are multiple, as they gain knowledge, socialize and come into contact with the culture of other European peoples, practice the use of the English language, gain a sense of personal satisfaction and autonomy, as well as self-confidence.
