Tonight, Senator Ivan Flores (DC) suffered a vehicle accident in the commune of Pudahuel.
According to preliminary information, the accident occurred when the legislator was arriving in Santiago, at the Arturo Merino Benítez Airport, at a time when the driver of the vehicle in which he was traveling lost control of the machine.
Lieutenant Denis Wladdimiro Contreras, patrol officer of the Carabineros Western Prefecture, specified that “Carabineros was established on the North Coastal Highway at kilometer 31 due to a traffic accident where, for reasons under investigation, the driver would have lost control of the car ending up overturned”.
Flores, according to initial information, suffered serious injuries of various kinds, and was urgently transferred to the Las Condes Clinic.
The senator Matias Walkerthrough his Twitter account, reported that he went to the medical establishment after learning what had happened, and reported that his co-party was going to undergo surgery, but that he is out of danger, as is the driver of the car.
“Apparently he had an exposed fracture in his arm that would have compromised an artery and that is why he is being operated on, and naturally we are going to wait for the official part that the clinic delivers,” added Walker on Channel 13.
Personnel from the Traffic Accident Investigation Section (SIAT) are working at the scene of the accident to establish the causes of the accident.
