Senatur articulates cooperation actions to guarantee the safety of tourists

Asunción, IP Agency.- Officials from the National Secretariat of Tourism (Senatur) held meetings with authorities from the Ministry of the Interior and the municipalities of Asunción, Ciudad del Este and Encarnación to agree on cooperative actions to guarantee the safety of tourists.

With the presence of the Vice Minister of Internal Security of the Ministry of the Interior, Oscar Pereira, accompanied by police authorities, a first meeting was held to strengthen the tourist security service in these cities.

Subsequently, another working meeting was held with the director of the Municipal Police, Enrique Chávez, the director of Municipal Transit, Marcos Maidana and the vice president of the Hotel Industry Association of Paraguay (Aihpy), Manuel Codas.

There it was agreed to carry out a communication campaign between Senatur and the Municipality of Asunción to inform visitors and citizens in general about the current traffic regulations.

Greater joint work was also agreed between Senatur and the Municipal Traffic Police to support the private tourism sector.
