Sergio Perez seems to be increasing his annual salary with a new F1 contract with Red Bull Racing.

Two days after winning the Monaco Grand Prix, it was announced that Red Bull Racing and Sergio Perez would extend their contract until 2024. RacingNews365.com reports that Pérez is now getting $ 10 million a year.

Sergio Perez, who joined Red Bull Racing in 2021, will continue to drive with Max Verstappen for the next two seasons. His current contract, which expires at the end of the season, is $ 8 million, and the new contract will raise $ 2 million.

Negotiations between Sergio Perez and Red Bull Racing began around the opening round of the Bahrain Grand Prix in March. Perez was almost guaranteed an extension before the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, but the contract was signed in Monte Carlo.

Sergio Perez hinted at an extension of the contract before the awards ceremony in Monaco, and the camera captures the moment when Red Bull F1 team leader Christian Horner is accused of being “too early.”

Liberty Media, the owner of F1, will be pleased with the long stay with Sergio Perez and Red Bull Racing. Currently, Perez is the only F1 driver driving the top team in the Western Hemisphere and is popular with fans on that side of the world.

In 2023, more than six races will be held in the Western Hemisphere, with three races scheduled to be held in the United States, alongside the Grand Prix in Canada, Brazil and, of course, Mexico.
