Serious accident on the E42 in Flémalle: motorway at a standstill

An accident occurred in the middle of the day on Monday on the E 42 Liège – Namur motorway, near Flémalle, towards Liège. If a fatal accident was first announced, the driver, an elderly man and seriously injured in the collision, would not however have died. He was transported, conscious, to the CHC MontLégia hospital.

The accident occurred between Saint-Georges and Flémalle more precisely. Two trucks and another vehicle were involved. It caused and still causes major traffic jams since the three lanes were closed initially, the passage being made by the hard shoulder.
