SINGER Shakira said being a single mom or single parent is a job that is not easy and challenging. Especially for a public figure like him, sometimes he feels suffocated by his activities as a singer and also having to take care of his two sons aged 11 and 9 years.
However, the 47 year old woman said that no matter how busy she is, she will still try to make time for her family.
“Yesterday, I came home at seven in the morning. My kids are waiting for me, so I eat breakfast with them, stay up late with them. Sometimes I don’t even sleep until their bedtime. “That’s what I did because I wanted to spend time with my children and put them to sleep and then I passed out,” he said as quoted by People.
According to Shakira, this is the first time in her life to fight alone as a single mom. However, he praised his children who he thought were great.
Even at the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards, when accepting the award for Song of the Year, Shakira promised her children that she would be happy.
“I have promised them that they will have a mother who will laugh as hard as she can, because they deserve it,” said Shakira. (Z-3)
