Following a rare disease affecting the spinal cord, Priscilla, 15, had to be operated on in Barcelona a year ago. From now on, she must return there to carry out numerous examinations. This is why, Valérie, her mother is launching a new appeal for generosity

In March 2021, we already told you Priscilla’s story. So 14 years oldshe had to undergo a major operation in Barcelona.

Affected by an extremely rare disease called idiopathic syringomyelia which affects her spinal cord, she could not, in fact, be operated on in Belgium.

Valérie Motte, her mother, then appealed for help to finance the costly intervention. She finally succeeded thanks to some savings and the generosity of those who supported her. This operation stopped the progression of the disease. Priscilla’s life is no longer in dangerexcept in the event of complications due to its existing malformations.
