In this film, we discover the story of Simon Leviev (real name Shimon Hayut) who posed as the son of a billionaire to attract women and extract large sums of money from them. His process was simple: seduce women by offering them large gifts, before making them believe that he was in danger so that they send him money that he never reimbursed. In total, he allegedly cheated them out of $10 million.
Faced with the scale of the documentary The Tinder Scammer Simon Leviev/Shimon Hayut insisted on defending himself in the columns of the Daily Mail. The 31-year-old claimed “not to be that monster” portrayed in the film posted on Netflix, and claims, on the contrary, to be “the greatest of gentlemen”. “People don’t know me, says the Israeli, so they can’t judge me. I was just a single guy who wanted to meet girls on Tinder.” According to information from TMZ, the one that was revealed in The Tinder Scammer reportedly has plans already, including a dating reality show and a dating podcast.
