SNJ invites young people for training in programming and web development

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Minister of the National Secretariat for Youth, Salma Agüero, reported that registrations are now open for the Youth Development Bootcamp, and those interested can visit the webpage of the SNJto see details and access the registration form. It is expected that between 100 and 120 young people will be selected for this intensive training experience, which will begin on September 7, 2024 with an in-person workshop.

The main objective is to create global employment opportunities for young people aged 18 to 29, especially women, people with physical and psychosocial disabilities, indigenous people and those with some type of vulnerability, said the head of the SNJ.

Agüero stressed that the call for registration is aimed at young people from Asunción, whom he urged to take advantage of this opportunity. He said that technological skills have a quick exit and job insertion, with high employability.

He stressed that this is why they saw the need to offer this proposal to young people, in coordination with the Center for Engineering for Research, Development and Technological Innovation (CIDIT) and the Inter-American Development Bank.

This project is supported by the Inter-American Development Bank Laboratory (BIDLAB), CISOFT and MentorMate, which have had a significant impact since their inception in March 2023, with more than 791 young people applying and 92 graduates, of which 17 are already working in the technology sector.
