On Monday it was announced that in Upper Austria, SP women’s leader Eva-Maria Holzleitner would lead the state list; in Vienna, the second President of the National Council, Doris Bures, would be number one. On Tuesday, the Styrian SPÖ announced that former club boss Jörg Leichtfried would be number one on the state list. Antonio Della Rossa was repositioned in Vorarlberg. SP chairman Andreas Babler is the top candidate on the federal list. The Lower Austrian SPÖ had already designated its top candidate, trade unionist Rudolf Silvan, in the fall. Babler’s predecessor Pamela Rendi-Wagner was also first on the list in Vienna in 2019.
