SpaceX spacecraft capsule fragment crashes in Australian field
4 Aug. BBC A large mysterious black object emerged from the ground in a remote area of New South Wales, Australia, later the Australian Space Agency (ASA) said came from the SpaceX spacecraft capsule.

Farmer Mick Miners thought it was a dead tree. But upon closer inspection and expert review Mr Miners knew it had fallen from space. While experts described the findings as rare and exciting, they said such incidents could become more common.
The object fell on July 9 in a wide field. But Mr Miners was not discovered until weeks later, after two more fragments were discovered nearby. And ASA urges anyone who finds additional objects to contact a hotline by SpaceX to report the discovery of space debris.
Dr. Brad Tucker, astrophysicist at the Australian National University Has been called to examine the object. Previously, Dr. Tucker was often called to investigate anything of this nature. But most of them are not space debris.
“It’s exciting to see this up close. I’ve never seen space debris fall like this,” Dr Tucker said in a video shared online.
