In St. Gallen, several people had to spend the night at the police station on Wednesday evening.

A 45-year-old man and his 30-year-old companion, both from the Czech Republic, argued in a restaurant on the moat, threw food at each other and finally fled the restaurant without paying. During the subsequent stop in the Kantipark at 8 p.m., a breath alcohol test on the woman showed a blood alcohol content of 2.46. According to a report from the St. Gallen city police, she also had a piece of clothing with her that she admitted to having stolen.

The 45-year-old was carrying a legal knife and several disposable razors. The knife was taken from the 45-year-old. At the police station, both behaved very recalcitrantly. They were taken into custody overnight. They were also fined for willful harassment and expelled from the city of St. Gallen for 30 days.

Yelling and yelling at passers-by

Shortly before 9 p.m., an 18-year-old Afghan man was noticed on the station square with an alleged fight, shouting and hitting objects. The man did not want to give any personal details and was very recalcitrant. As a result, he was arrested and taken to the main police station for further investigation. A breath alcohol test revealed 1.36 per mille and the man spent the night in custody. He was also fined for willful harassment and expelled from the city of St. Gallen for 30 days.

Shortly after 9 p.m., the operations center received a call that a man at Bohl was sexually harassing women and physically attacking other people. The emergency services met a 33-year-old North Macedonian who was believed to be very drunk. Due to his aggressive and quick-tempered nature, he had to be led to the ground and handcuffed.

Expelled from town

He was then taken to the main station. A breath alcohol test was not possible there. A search revealed various drugs and five grams of cannabis. He spent the night in a detention cell, received a fine for willful harassment and a 24-hour ban from the city of St. Gallen.
