ZThe premiere in the Mödlinger Stadttheater, which is used by the Theater zum Angst, was really about fear last Saturday.

Stephen Mallatratt’s play, directed by Sam Madwar, started out funny. Thomas Kamper got a lot of laughs while as Arthur Knipps he skilfully rattled off his own story, only to then play the most diverse characters with virtuosity.

Arthur Knipps and the actor (played brilliantly by Thomas Marchart) told the terrible story of the woman in black together. After the break at the latest, even the most die-hard spectator stopped laughing when she screamed and sometimes pushed out of a door that was actually locked, sometimes suddenly emerged from the swamp.

Conclusion: An evening that sent chills down your spine.
