Star’s Revenge Announce New Album ‘Star’s Revenge II’ and New Single ‘Don’t Worry Dynamite

Geese guitarist Emily Green and Sunflower Bean’s Olive Faber have confirmed the November 27 release of their second studio album, Star’s Revenge II.

Essential Details for the New Release

  • Star’s Revenge II arrives on November 27, following the group’s 2022 self-titled debut.
  • The band will host a four-night residency at Hart Bar in Brooklyn from December 28 through December 31.
  • Lead single “Don’t Worry Dynamite” is currently available, accompanied by a DIY music video co-directed by Faber and Arielle Herman.
  • The full tracklist includes “Clean,” “Teenage Daydream,” “Sorry,” “Fine Line,” “Oh God,” “USA,” “Sea Shanty,” “Last Cigarette,” “Look At You,” and “Something Missing.”

A Creative Pivot from Geese and Sunflower Bean

While Geese frontman Cameron Winter has been working on a solo project, Emily Green has maintained her commitment to Star’s Revenge. As reported by Rolling Stone, Green views this project as a distinct outlet for “capital-R Rock music.” In the band’s recent cover story, she noted: I just plug into an amp and shred for 30 minutes onstage. The band, which formed in 2023 after Green and Faber connected at a South by Southwest showcase, has continued to play local New York shows even as their primary bands saw their profiles rise significantly in the indie circuit.

The recording process for Star’s Revenge II focused on a raw, live-to-tape aesthetic. According to Consequence, the album was tracked at Billard’s home studio on Long Island. The resulting sound is described as a mixture of jangly indie melodies and heavier classic-rock riffs, designed to function as an “intensely loud record for quiet people.”

The Structural Shift in Modern Touring

The decision to host a four-night residency at Hart Bar in Bushwick highlights the band’s continued engagement with the DIY scene in New York. By hand-picking openers for each of the four nights between December 28 and December 31, the band is continuing its history of playing shows around New York.

New Album Continues Narrative Thread from First LP

As noted by NME, the new album is intended to pick up the narrative thread established on their first LP. The lyrical themes of “Don’t Worry Dynamite,” which feature Faber on lead vocals, lean into a romantic, “us-against-the-world” sentiment with lyrics such as: We could go out and fuck around/Kickin’ trash cans uptown… The track builds toward a repeated promise: We’ll rip apart our hearts ’til we get it right.

The band’s ability to sustain this project alongside the demands of Geese—who topped the bill at End of the Road in 2026 and saw their album Getting Killed named NME’s number one record of 2025—reflects Green’s dedication to creating music with her bandmates. NME recently reviewed Geese’s set at Reading, noting: This isn’t quite as incendiary a show as Geese’s last UK date at the Eventim Apollo back in March, though it has its own punch-drunk charm, with the band sounding more settled into the material.

With the album dropping just weeks away, the focus now shifts to the Brooklyn residency. Listen to the new music from Green and Faber below.
