NASA hosts its aerospace expo and air show, MAX POWER, beginning Friday, Nov. 6, and running through Sunday, Nov. 8, across and near Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Gates for family-friendly public events open at 9 a.m. EST on Saturday and Sunday. According to NASA, the expo marks the culmination of the agency’s recent Inspiration Tour, which featured flyovers highlighting the agency’s aircraft fleet. The weekend event brings together public displays, air shows, and multiple park experiences designed to showcase upcoming aerospace technology on Florida’s Space Coast.
NASA Shows Supersonic Planes and Moon Rovers
Organizers stated that the gathering will showcase the newest aircraft, autonomous vehicles, technologies, and more defining the future of air and space,
with agency partners displaying hardware for lunar exploration. Visitors can view NASA’s quiet supersonic X-59 plane alongside Moon rovers, spacecraft, autonomous vehicles, and other advanced technology provided by the agency and its external partners.
The weekend schedule features a heavy lineup of expert talks and media events. On Saturday afternoon, a livestreamed press conference from the Press Site Auditorium will provide updates on the Moon Base program near the lunar South Pole, which serves as humanity’s first long-term lunar exploration outpost. Panelists for the announcement include Moon Base program manager Carlos García-Galán, Science Mission Directorate head Nicky Fox, acting Infrastructure Office director Dayna Ise, and NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman.

Additional presentations throughout the weekend feature diverse agency efforts. On Saturday, Nicky Fox joins Lori Glaze to discuss science and exploration goals, while Suzanne Bell, who leads the Behavioral Health and Performance Laboratory at Johnson Space Center, discusses preparing astronauts to live and work on the Moon. Further sessions feature Space Academy presentations with NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson, nuclear discussions led by Space Reactors Division director Cynthia Simmons, and quiet supersonic jet overviews led by Aeronautics Division director Laurie Grindle, Quesst mission manager Peter Coen, and X-59 test pilot Jim “Clue” Less.
Jared Isaacman Pilots Jets at Weekend Show
Isaacman previously funded and commanded SpaceX’s Inspiration4 and Polaris Dawn orbital missions in September 2021 and September 2024. Daily flight demonstrations feature Jared Isaacman piloting an F-5 jet and a MiG-29, with scheduled flyovers at 11:58 a.m. and 1:31 p.m. local time on both Saturday and Sunday.
Attendees can hear from the Artemis III crew—comprising NASA astronaut Randy Bresnik, ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano, and NASA astronaut Frank Rubio—alongside backup crew member Bob Hines. Public events include question-and-answer sessions with active flight crews. A separate panel highlights SpaceX Crew-12 astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway.
Opening air show remarks feature NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson alongside air show introductions. Additional activities include student challenge announcements at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Rocket Garden, media one-on-one sessions at the NASA Press Site, and a series of news updates delivered throughout the weekend.
