Doha: An e-service has been launched in Qatar where people on family visas can switch to work visas. The new service has been introduced by the Ministry of Labour. The announcement was made at a seminar organized by the Ministry of Labor in association with Qatar Development Bank.
The new service will simplify the process of hiring residents from Qatar without hiring people from foreign countries for private firms. It offers more opportunities to expatriate job seekers in Qatar.
It is also expected that the local labor market in the country will become more profitable. Those who came to Qatar on family visa as dependents of residents can easily convert to work visa online.
