A young student was arrested this Wednesday on the outskirts of Dallas (Texas, USA) for going to his institute with two rifles in his vehiclethe Richardson Police Department reported.
The arrest occurred a day after a young man shot dead 19 children and two teachers in an elementary school in the town of Uvalde, also in the state of Texas, one of the deadliest shootings in an educational center in the United States.
The Richardson Police received a call at 10:55 local time (15:55 GMT) alerting that a young man I was walking with a rifle to Berkner Highreason why several agents went to the place.
The young man was located inside the institute but he was unarmed, local police explained in a statement.
However, in his vehicle, parked near the institute, fAn AK-47 rifle and an AR-15 were foundfor which the student was arrested for the state felony of carrying a weapon in a school zone.
On Tuesday afternoon, an 18-year-old armed with an automatic rifle murdered 19 children and two teachers in a primary school in the Texas town of Uvalde, before being shot dead by the Police.
It is the second mass murder in the country in less than two weeks; On May 14, a white supremacist murdered ten people, most of them African-Americans, in a supermarket in the town of Buffalo, New York.
Numerous Democratic Party politicians and civic leaders have called for greater controls on the purchase of weapons in the country, while the Republican authorities in Texas have focused on mental health problems that, in their opinion, are at the root of the event.
