She appeared with sunglasses to better protect her eyes. Suffering from an eye infection, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau finally gave reassuring news about his state of health, via a video posted on social networks. The journalist first thanked everyone who heard from her: “Hello, it’s been a month since I gave you any news and your messages, your letters, your emails are so numerous that I am contacting you today to answer you and especially to thank you for all your marks of attention and support which touch me enormously.
She then returned to the medical reasons which forced her to leave the antenna of the JT of TF1 since December 17. “I suffer from an eye infection, a rare and severe infection that requires long treatment,” she explained, without going into details. Forced to wear sunglasses to “protect (his) eye which is still fragile”, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau, who had replaced Jean-Pierre Pernaut on January 4, 2021 , did not give a date on a possible return in front of the cameras. It is therefore Jacques Legros who will continue to present the midday news on the first channel. “I’m doing everything to come back as soon as possible (…) I’m really looking forward to seeing you again and I’ll see you soon”.
