Suns and Warriors fall, Pelicans new West leaders

  • Golden State Warriors 123 – 124 Utah Jazz

Decidedly, the Warriors season does not take off. After two victories to start December, the men of Steve Kerr chain two setbacks against the Pacers and this night, on the floor of the Jazz, two franchises yet their door. Without Steph Curry in Draymond GreenGolden State recovered Jordan Poole in the role of offensive leader. The line of stats is very honorable with 36 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists on the clock but we must add 6 ball losses and a long distance success 4/13. Beyond the numbers, the Warriors have had great difficulty bringing consistency to a very balanced match where each team has its own period to pick up or make a difference. The Jazz have been pretty serious through and through, letting the game come to the warm-footed players, varying spaces and opportunities. One results Jordan Clarkson 22 points and 9 assists while all members of the starting five reached the double figure on points, with an overall success rate of 53.5%. Special mention Simone Fontecchio, who seized his chance off the bench with 18 points in 19 minutes and a leading role at the end of the match. The second unit precisely augured a beautiful distance duel between the Italian and the sophomore Jonathan Kuminga, 24 points and a very big activity in the last QT for the Warriors to pick up before the money-time. Indeed, the Jazz made the effort in the third QT before Jordan Poole escalated in the last minutes of the meeting. On an even penetration, a little forced, the 28th choice of the 2019 Draft restores the advantage to his team. Jordan Clarkson gets kicked out and we think the case is over but Malik Beasley three points then Fontecchio on a dunk 1.4 seconds from time, allow the Jazz to validate their 15th success of the season. A team victory that allows the Mormons to consolidate their 6th place in the West. For the Warriors, however, has not taken off beyond 10th place with a balance sheet after 26 games. Not ideal before taking on the undisputed NBA leader, Boston.

  • Boston Celtics 125 – 98 Phoenix Suns

The meeting between the conference leaders was eagerly awaited tonight. Especially since the Suns recorded the return of Chris Paul after a month of absence. But what was supposed to be a foretaste of a possible NBA Finals quickly turned into a brzina for the Suns. The Celtics set a daunting pace very quickly in the game, well led by the Jay Brothers Jayson Tatum et Jaylen Brown. 50 points two but above all a hustle that inspires the whole team to fight on each ball, each possession in order to scratch the small fault or the additional rebound to asphyxiate his opponent. Devin Booker, 17 points 6/17 is completely overwhelmed on both ends of the field, CP3 is off pace with just 4 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Only Josh Okogie floats with 28 units in 23 minutes. On the side of the Green Army, everyone joins the party. Blake Griffinholder at the pivot position, offers 9 points and 9 rebounds, Grant Williams, in addition to muzzling Arizona’s entire racket, pulls out 14 points when Malcolm Brogdon drives the point home with 16 7/9 points. The gap even rises to +39 for men of Joe Mazzulla after a start of third QT of fire. A real show of force for the NBA leaders who recorded a third victory in a row, the 17th in 19 games. The Suns will have two cartridges to recover their throne in the West, against the Pelicans.

Detroit Pistons 98 – 104 New Orleans Pelicans. The beautiful story continues for the Pels! New Orleans, after a somewhat sluggish start, has mastered its subject against the Pistons, under the impetus of a Zion Williamson who continues well with 29 points, 10 rebounds and still very little waste. note the double-double of Killian Hayes, 17 points and 12 assists, more and more comfortable in the leading role starting Detroit. The Pelicans, with a record of 16 wins and 8 losses, are leaders in the West.
