The Swede Anna Swenn Larsson took advantage of the moment to take a half-time lead in the slalom in Soldeu (Andorra). Without the injured dominators Mikaela Shiffrin and Petra Vlhova, the two-time World Cup winner had a lead of 0.14 seconds over Paula Moltzan (USA) and 0.42 over Croatia’s Zrinka Ljutic. Austria’s best was Katharina Troupe for the time being, and the Carinthian in sixth place (+0.66) still had a chance of her second podium of the season.

With light snowfall, some ambitious runners were disappointed. The German Lena Dürr (5th/+0.66), who is the only one who can challenge Shiffrin for the crystal ball, Katharina Liensberger (9th/+1.10), but also Katharina Huber (+2.20) showed their potential not retrieve. Katharina Gallhuber intervened. Like Franziska Gritsch (+3.47), she remained without points in the slalom for the third time in a row.
