Syrian actor Alaa Al-Zoubi apologizes to the people of Houran for the movie “Tent 56”

Damascus – Al-Quds Al-Arabi: After being accused of abusing refugees, especially the people of Houran in Syria, through the short film “Tent 56”, which sparked controversy on social media because of its handling of the issue of marital relations in the camps with the actors using the Houran dialect, the actor presented Al-Suri, one of the stars of the series “Bride of Beirut,” Alaa Al-Zoubi, apologized publicly to the people of Houran, whom he described as his family and people, and confirmed that work is underway to delete the film, which was produced and shown about 4 years ago, from all social networking sites.
Al-Zoubi, through his official account on the “Instagram” website, showed a video clip dedicated to the people of Houran, addressing them with an apology entitled “From the Heart to the Heart.” He stressed that “the people of Houran are his family, his people, his clan and his support, and he is proud of them and what bothers them disturbs him.” He admitted that he made a mistake in addressing this issue in this film, considering it a “miscalculation of him, and most of those who do not make mistakes.”
Alaa hoped that his apology would be accepted by everyone who felt offended by the subject and presented the film, while stressing that he “does not just think about offending them or offending the refugees who are in the end his people, his family and his relatives,” hoping that “the coming days will be better for them and for him.”
