Taghazout Bay has managed to transcend seasonal constraints by offering a continuous and regular program of activities that liven up life in the region throughout the year. By positioning itself as the preferred location for major events dedicated to board sports, gastronomy, family activities, institutional events, and the MICE segment (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions), the destination has successfully promoted Taghazout as the destination Morocco. The year 2023 was marked by an exceptional diversity of prestigious events organized within the Destination.
These events included an international board sports competition with the 2nd edition of the RIP CURL PRO SEARCH TAGHAZOUT BAY, which brought together more than 200 high-level athletes. In the field of gastronomy, the 1st edition of the RENCONTRES GASTRONOMIQUES TAGHAZOUT BAY brought together nearly 300 renowned chefs and 20,000 festival-goers around discussions, culinary demonstrations, conferences and tasting sessions.
The resort has also played a key role in promoting the destination by hosting events such as Devoxx Morocco, dedicated to digital and innovation, as well as the MOROCCO-UK TOURISM SUMMIT, bringing together a large professional audience. Family entertainment was a priority during the school holidays, with summer attractions in Greater Agadir. In summer 2023, the SUMMER DAYS FESTIVAL transformed the Destination into a bustling tourist hub for a month.
Alongside these events, supported by the Société d’Aménagement et de Promotion de Taghazout Bay (SAPST), other events are organized by the Resort’s hotel establishments, such as major festivals dedicated to Electro music (Resist , Otium, Origins) held at the Radisson Blu; among others.
Taghazout Bay lights up for the end-of-year holidays:
For the end-of-year holidays, Taghazout Bay will offer a rich program to welcome its visitors. The central Tawenza Square esplanade, the beating heart of the Destination, will come alive with play areas with free access, an ice rink and a domed chill space, with musical entertainment in the background. In addition to these events, there are the unmissable campfires, thematic evenings and shows which will be organized in the various hotels of the Station.

Destination Taghazout Bay was able to demonstrate its extensive experience in organizing high-volume events, thanks to a solid infrastructure and dedicated equipment. In terms of mobility, the establishment of intra-site shuttles makes it possible to serve the localities of Taghazout, Tamraght and Aourir regularly and free of charge during the events.
Alongside the actions undertaken, the commercial actions made it possible to lay the foundations of a solid strategy, with the objectives of effective and targeted promotion of the destination and a clear strengthening of its presence and notoriety on the world stage, in particular from Tour Operators (TO).
The liveliness of Taghazout Bay also remains an asset for all of Greater Agadir. For each event, the Destination places its hinterland, its culture and its traditions at the center of its priorities. A great way to promote the region’s assets and territories, to encourage the emergence and development of sports industries, particularly around golf and surfing), to attract more visitors through the dissemination of campaigns communication and to stimulate tourism in the region. Strengthening the attractiveness of the Destination finally promotes the creation of a sustainable ecosystem where creators and artisans from the region develop their activities, exhibit their products and gain visibility.
The new vocation of Taghazout Bay as a Land of Events is also the result of the very conclusive synergy between the promoters of the Destination and its different components. This consistency makes it possible to regularly evaluate each of the actions undertaken, to open a permanent and constructive dialogue and to unite all stakeholders around common projects.
