Zamalek begins a new journey in order to discover promising talents within the club in order to develop the various sectors, through the formation of the so-called “Team of Hope”.
The idea of forming the team came initially from Gusvaldo Ferreira, the team’s coach, because the man wanted to communicate technical ideas to the players and this would not be feasible in the presence of large numbers within the team’s training.
The Al-Amal team includes 22 players, including the goalkeeper, born in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004.
During the past few days, the republic’s patrols for these births ended, and accordingly, it was decided to form the Hope Team.
Ferreira discussed the idea of Amir Mortada Mansour, the general supervisor of the ball, along with the technical staff of Zamalek, and the response was that the idea had been implemented before and the last attempts were last year.
How to implement
The implementation of the idea will start from today, Sunday, despite Ferreira’s interest in working on this matter since his arrival in Zamalek, but in the end he chose this time after the end of the junior championships in order to allow the opportunity to devote himself to training.
The team will start work from today, Sunday, with the general coach of the first team, Osama Nabih and his assistant Ahmed Abdel-Maqsoud, and the same training and technical ideas will be carried out by the first team.
Objectives
Zamalek club has several goals from forming the Al-Amal team, starting with increasing the number of players suitable for the first team, especially if the season extends for a longer period with the possibility of some players leaving after the end of their contracts with the team.
There is a possibility that Zamalek will play a large number of second round matches in the Egyptian League this season without its players, whose contracts expire on June 30, after Mortada Mansour, the club’s president, announced their departure earlier, This is in the event that their contracts are not renewed or the season with the team is completed.
The second goal is to escalate and discover talents and give them an opportunity to be with the first team, in addition to measuring the performance of the best players in the junior sector and making contracts for those who deserve it.
One of the important goals is also, to loan some players in order to gain experience starting from next season.
The team will include a large group of different teams in the sector, but the focus will be on the 2003 team, which won the league last season and second place in the league this season.
