Marguerite express
Wednesday, July 13, 9:30 p.m.
Garden of the Jean-Lurçat museum

Daughter of Good King René of Anjou, crowned Queen of England at the age of 15, deposed and returned to France after 17 years of reign, Marguerite of Anjou is the main heroine of The Wars of the Roses which opposed the two famous English families of the Lancasters and the Yorks. However… France ignores her and England has erased this “bloody queen” from her history. Marguerite express, the incredible and long life of Marguerite d’Anjou, is a festive, popular and demanding show at the service of professional integration as well as the promotion of the history and heritage of our territory. Directed by Charline Porrone and Thomas Joly by the students of the Professional Orientation Cycle of the Regional Conservatory of the City of Angers, cycle in partnership with the Quai-CDN.

Fred Wesley & The New JB’s
Thursday, July 14, 9:15 p.m.
Fine Arts Garden

Icon of the very select funk family, Fred Wesley has collaborated with James Brown, Maceo Parker, George Clinton, Bootsy Collins. This trombonist inspired by jazz, with accents of soul music and gospel, is currently making his trombone roar with a new version of JB’s. Quite simply breathtaking, he invents a recognizable trombone phrasing, inspired by jazz, with accents of soul music and bewitching gospel. A true legend, he remains today a model for the new generation of r’n’b.

All events are free.
