Ten Hag reaches agreement to coach Manchester United

According to news reports, Eric Ten Hag is very close to taking over the Manchester United football team, as he has reached a preliminary agreement with the club.

Ten Hag, 52, has coached Ajax since December 2017, but his name has been linked to Manchester United training as of this summer, as he is awaiting the transfer of Ralph Rangnick to a consulting position in the club, according to the British news agency BA Media. .

Maurizio Pochettino, coach of Paris Saint-Germain, was also among the list of candidates to train Manchester United, but the “Athletic” website stated that Ten Hag had verbally agreed to take over the position to replace interim coach Ralph Rangnick at the end of the current season.

And the British news agency “BA Media” has learned that despite Manchester United’s progress in the search for a new coach, no agreement has been reached with any candidate and the search process is still ongoing.

Rangnick had agreed to take over the coach of Manchester temporarily last November, after the dismissal of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Manchester United faces the risk of missing out on the Champions League next season, as it is three places and six points behind the fourth place occupied by Tottenham in the English Premier League, seven stages before the end of the competition.

However, this does not seem to be an obstacle to attracting a prominent coach in European football, such as Ten Hag, who won the League and Cup double in the Netherlands twice and led Ajax to the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2019.

Ajax is close to crowning the domestic double again, as it leads the league by four points against PSV Eindhoven, and is also preparing for the cup final.
