It is a real drama that took place in the city of Wolves: the emergency services were called rue de Baume, this Thursday early evening, for a major fire.
The flames obviously took in a residential house next to the former Smokehouse restaurant, for reasons still undetermined. The building ended up burning down completely.
When the La Louvière firefighters respond to the call, they are told that two people are potentially inside.
When they arrived, the house was set ablaze. A person’s body is quickly found. The firefighters then discover the body of the second victim who was in the house.
According to the louviérois firefighters, the causes of the disaster have not yet been determined.
The house was completely destroyed by the flames. But this fire also caused damage to two annex houses. The Louviérois firefighters were joined by a Binche pumper and cistern, which came as reinforcements.
The judicial police went to the scene.
