Thanasis Efthimiadis was a guest of Natalia Germanou, at noon on Saturday, on the set of the show “Kalytera de meda” on Alpha on the occasion of his new book.
The beloved actor and writer referred, among other things, to the very conscious decision to devote time to his family and to completely change his lifestyle in his everyday life.
More specifically, Thanasis Efthimiadis confessed that “when I made the decision to only do theater and to stop watching television in order to have more time for my children, every time I was given a proposal for television I told them the following. “Come here. Yes, we go to the big department stores and you can get a thing that costs up to 5 euros, and sometimes you complain that the other kid got something more.
You can take all you want but you won’t have me, I’ll be home for a weekend and I’ll be tired, you won’t be able to see me. Take your pick, I’ve got a proposal for TV’ I’d tell them and they were educated in a way that they knew dad cut back on work hours so I could have more hours for me and my family.’
“Certainly monetary is necessary but… monetary. I need the money, what’s in it and the money, not the money. Because we lived through the golden age of television, we know what big money was and it didn’t bring any positive results in my life. You get some priorities in your life. That is, I who had five cars and five motorbikes, now I have had a small car for 18 years. Same, I’m not changing it.
“This is a choice that was not made just as a theoretical change, but I am making it in practice,” Thanasis Efthymiadis also added to Alpha’s entertainment magazine.
