Among the acts of the Fuorisalone, entitled between space and timeinside the Tortona Design Weekincludes the floating forest the Timberland facility designed by Stefano Boeri Interiors, the multidisciplinary studio founded by the architects Stefano Boeri and Giorgio Donà.

The multisensory forest

If it is true that we need more green for tackle climate change, the idea of ​​urban forestry can be a fundamental step, the right idea to make people aware and let nature itself educate us. An opportunity for all to improve the health and quality of the environment, to develop our legacy to pass on to future generations. The Timberland facility has this mission: equip and inspire the next generation to move the world forwarda brand vision of a greener and fairer future, as well as the concept of circularity, where nothing is wasted. The forest offers not only an environment in which to rediscover the importance of biodiversity and the benefits of nature, but also a total immersion that, through the aroma of the flowers and the tactile quality of the selected species, engages all the senses. . There are several trees, such as maple, birch and malus; and shrubs, such as black choron, hydrangea, mahonia, and pittosporum; and perennial herbaceous plants, such as the stipe, the eulalia, the anemone, the emerald, the purple verbena and the pampas. It’s about a multisensory floating forest created on the water of the Dock of Milan, which offers an immersive experienceboth physical and virtual. The tour inside the facility will have four stages key linked to the different senses and will lead visitors to interact with the latest ecological innovations of products and brand values. The installation will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. from June 7 to 12 in Viale Gabriele D’Annunzio 20 (Darsena).
