The bridge over the El Nulita River between Apure and Táchira collapsed

The rains of the last 12 hours undermined the foundations of the bridge over the El Nulita River and caused the structure to collapse, affecting the passage from El Nula to Táchira.

Authorities asked users to look for alternative routes while passage through the sector is reopened.

The information was shared by the Minister of Transport, Ramón Celestino Velásquez Araguayan on his X account.

As a result of the heavy rains that occurred during the early hours of the morning, we report the collapse of the bridge over the “El Nulita” River, which connects the town of El Nula, in the state of Apure, with the town of El Piñal, in the state of Táchira, where pedestrian and vehicular traffic remains restricted, he said.
