His Holiness performed Pope Tawadros The second Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark underwent a number of medical examinations today, due to the state of stress he suffered during the Christmas Mass at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in the New Administrative Capital, yesterday evening.
Statement stated the church The results of the examinations and the diagnoses of the attending physicians showed that His Holiness the Pope is in good health and that the state of exhaustion came as a result of the efforts made by His Holiness during the past days, during the continuous receptions of well-wishers and lovers on the occasion of Christmas, in addition to the intensive pastoral work that he carried out recently.
The Church reassures everyone that His Holiness the Pope is well and will resume his pastoral work normally within days, God willing.
