“At the point of impact, we observe a flow of water of 100 m3 per second, which represents a large volume. The water level of the Ingulets (the river) changes every hour,” Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Kyrylo Tymoshenko said.

According to him, the center and another district of this city of 600,000 inhabitants are “under the risk of flooding”.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, originally from Kryvyi Rig, had previously announced a Russian strike that targeted “hydraulic infrastructure” there, without causing any casualties. An “attempt to flood Kryvyï Rig”, according to him.

The governor of the region, Valentin Reznitchenko, for his part mentioned seven Russian Kh-22 missiles fired from a plane, which “seriously damaged” this infrastructure.
