Blizzard released a short film dedicated to the new hero Overwatch 2, Kiriko. This video shows two sides of the heroine of the support class: a loving daughter and at the same time a harsh protector.

Kiriko can be unlocked immediately by Premium Pass holders and players Overwatch. Everyone else needs to upgrade the free battle pass for this. And the players are not particularly happy with the new monetization system: in their opinion, even in Apex Legends more motivation to develop a battle pass, because this way you can get currency to buy the next one.

Users Reddit already counted, that to unlock all skins, amulets, poses, emotes and other assets for Kiriko, you need to pay 15,600 Overwatch coins. Those who do not buy currency can get 60 coins per week by completing challenges. So it will take five years to fully unlock cosmetics for a single hero.

The legendary appearances of the heroes were also criticized. In particular, the legendary skin Kiriko only changes the jacket, leaving everything else almost untouched. And in general, the legendary skins in the sequel are much less developed – probably, all the efforts of the designers went to future mythical skins.

The authors of Overwatch 2 also hinted on the new hero, who will appear in the second season. It will be a tank, well-known to us, and it will be closely related to the new map that will appear next season.
