An audio recording in Japanese appeared today on the Blue Box Game Studios website, which talks about «the true creators of the Abandoned». At the moment, the appeal has been deleted, but visitors to the resource managed to make a copy and translate the text on Reddit.
It is claimed that the prologue was created «AI group».
“See the work created by the AI team and promote it as a dark horror for the PlayStation 5 in Real Time Experience. A beloved man walking on a parquet (an allusion to a flight trailer) – all this was created by an AI simulation.
The message says that «the project failed at the first stage, and it was considered unbootable». After several months of hard work, a certain Zero Cell became more powerful and showed better performance, «but still had technical problems».
“When problems were solved at the request of millions of people around the world, Zero Cell became incredibly powerful and is now the most powerful AI simulation ever created. A top-secret experiment made an unfinished project incredibly successful. The best job in the world. However, this project still has a lot to teach humanity.”
10 hours after posting, the post was removed from Reddit by a forum admin at someone’s request. Fans are trying to figure out what happened, and in the meantime, on the Blue Box Game Studios website, dataminers discovered a JS script with a timer for February 1, 2022.
What all this means is not entirely clear.
Abandoned is being developed exclusively for PS5.
