Jeitler-Cincelli: With the new apprenticeship training, the health and care sector will be relieved in the long term
Vienna (OTS) – After the nursing apprenticeship was decided by the National Council in May, the apprenticeship training courses for “nursing assistants” and “nursing assistants” will start in the 2023/24 school year. In a 3-year or 4-year apprenticeship, the nursing staff of tomorrow should be trained in the best possible way. “With the nursing apprenticeship, the federal government has created a new training program that is contemporary and practice-oriented and can inspire young people in particular to take up a career in nursing. Because the labor shortage is particularly noticeable in the health and care sector. With the new apprenticeships, the potential for urgently needed staff will be raised in order to guarantee our relatives aging with dignity in the future,” says Deputy Secretary General and Deputy Secretary Carmen Jeitler-Cincelli.
