The Emirati astronaut flies over Africa and documents the scene with a video

On Thursday, Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi shared with his followers on the social networking site “Twitter” the magnificence of the scene from the International Space Station, as he documented in a video clip the planet Earth from space, during the flight of the International Space Station over the continent of Africa.

Sultan Al Neyadi commented on the video, saying: “I share with you these moments in which I see Earth for the first time from the observation unit (Coppola) aboard the International Space Station.”

The Emirati astronaut, who arrived at the International Space Station as part of the “Cro-6” team, added: “The farther we are from Earth, the more beautiful we see it … and we realize the more important it is to preserve it.”

In the video clip, he said: “As promised, here I am filming Coppola, let’s see the first views. It just came true, we are over Africa.”

Then Al-Neyadi approached a window and told one of the people on board Coppola with him that he wanted to share these views “with everyone”, repeating: “This is wonderful.”

And on Wednesday, Al Neyadi published his first message from space after his arrival at the International Space Station, saying in a tweet on Twitter: “Peace to Earth from space… Peace to the homeland and its leaders.”

And he added, “Peace be upon everyone who carried Zayed’s ambition in his heart and directed his eyes towards us in space. The dream has become a reality and the march continues.”

The Emirati astronaut, accompanied by the Crew-6 mission crew, successfully launched to the International Space Station last Thursday.

Al-Neyadi is engaged in the longest scientific mission for the Arabs in space, which will last for six continuous months at the International Space Station. He will participate in scientific experiments in ten vital areas throughout the duration of the mission.

Al-Neyadi said, earlier, that he has a busy schedule of research during the coming days, especially since the “crew-5” crew who is with them on board the station will leave after three days, while his “crew-6” crew will take over all the tasks on board the station.
