the energy supplier Lampiris changes its name

Lampiris was created in 2003 by Bruno Venanzi – current president of Standard de Liège – and Bruno Vanderschueren. The energy supplier has gradually become the third player in the residential energy market in Belgium. The company is well established in Wallonia and Brussels.

Total took over the company in 2016. Today, Lampiris therefore acquires the name of its owner: TotalEnergies. The change will be official at the end of the month. Nothing changes for customers.

CEO Marc Bensadoun believes that this new name will allow Lampiris “to benefit from all the resources and expertise of TotalEnergies in order to be in a better position to meet the challenge of climate change”.

“It is thanks to TotalEnergies that Lampiris has been able to join forces with this huge wind farm off the coast of Ostend, called Rentel. Thanks to this park, one of the largest in Belgium, we can provide green and local electricity to 300,000 more families, ”commented the manager in a video message.

Lampiris wants to facilitate access to electric driving for everyone. “Our experts install charging stations in your home and you can now use one of the 12,000 charging points in the TotalEnergies network. And by 2025, you will be able to charge your electric car ultra-fast on European motorways, every 150 kilometers. “
