After a last opus published in 2009, we had since had no news of the famous saga of tactical shooter in open world Delta Force. It is now done since a brand new trailer has just revealed the existence of a new Delta Force game. According to an article from our colleagues at IGN, the developers want to “maintain the authentic essence of the original game while infusing it with a futuristic flavor from an artistic and narrative point of view”. We also learn that the title will be inspired by the film The fall of the Black Falcon. We are also promised large-scale multiplayer, with vehicles and large maps. Well, what we see in the trailer is mostly passages that look like a clone of Call of Duty, characters that seem like they can use powers and explosions all over the place. A priori, we are therefore rather far from the tactical shooter. This new Delta Forcedeveloped by the Chinese studio TiMi (subsidiary of the giant Tencent), will show more at Gamescom next week.
Started in 1998 with a first eponymous title, the Delta Force series had made an impression with its relatively large maps (for the time) despite outdated graphics and some technical problems. Unfortunately, the quality of the games decreases with each release of a new episode.
