The film tells the story of Sophia (played by Magali Lépine-Blondeau), a philosophy professor at university, who lives in a happy couple, but without passion.
Everything is shaken up when the urban academic meets an entrepreneur from the Laurentians, Sylvain (Pierre-Yves Cardinal).
Their love, however, is as passionate as it is precarious, while the great differences between their social backgrounds complicate their relationship.
“Are human beings who come from different backgrounds, who speak different languages, who have different vocabularies… are they capable of meeting and loving each other?”, asks Magalie Lépine Blondeau.
