The formal denial of the PDS deputies

In a note made public, deputies of the Senegalese Democratic Party (PDS) brushed aside rumors of supposed support for candidate Amadou Ba.

“The PDS deputies of the “Liberty, Democracy and Change” parliamentary group deny all the information distilled by the press tending to make people believe that we will support the candidate Amadou Ba during the Presidential election of March 24, 2024.

As President of the parliamentary group, and on behalf of all the deputies affiliated with the Senegalese Democratic Party, I disagree with these false allegations. The PDS deputies, as activists and disciplined leaders, comply with the decision of the Brother National Secretary General who is the only one authorized to commit the party, by virtue of our internal regulations.

We would like to remind the public that it was the PDS deputies who led the fight for the establishment of a parliamentary commission of inquiry into the suspicions of corruption of certain judges of the Constitutional Council by the candidate Amadou Ba. All PDS deputies reaffirm their commitment to Brother SGN, Master Abdoulaye Wade and ask activists to remain united and listen to the party. »
