The head of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov was hospitalized. As the governor wrote in a telegram: “There is nothing critical. I am under the supervision of doctors. They will let you go home today or tomorrow.”

Vyacheslav Gladkov has been heading Belgorod Oblast, a Russian region bordering Ukraine, since November 2020, first as acting governor and then as governor. After the outbreak of the war, Gladkov became known, among other things, for his project to build a “notch line” in the border areas.
