On Sunday January 29, around 1:00 a.m., two witnesses reported the fall in the Senne of a woman with her bicycle from the towpath. They immediately called for help. The Kastze police zone and the fire brigade therefore began a search operation in the river.
The family of Imane, the 25-year-old young woman, has not had any contact with her since Saturday evening. The two witnesses were able to identify him from the photos.
We learn this Friday that the body found Thursday in the Netekanaal of Duffel has been identified as that of the victim. This is what the Antwerp public prosecutor’s office claims. The body of the young woman has therefore been carried away by the current for many kilometers in recent weeks.
